The 6th Ural Tank Festival gathered more than 15,000 spectators on September 6 in a major historical event.

This year’s edition celebrated the 80th anniversary of victory in World War II—known in Russia as the Great Patriotic War—and 105 years of domestic tank production, reaffirming the importance of the Urals’ industrial and military heritage.

The main highlight was the presence of historic ChTZ equipment, preserved in perfect working condition by the factory’s specialists.

These machines, produced in Tankograd during the Great Patriotic War, are living witnesses of victory and continue to move new generations.

In addition to the historical segment, spectators were treated to an impressive demonstration of the modern T-72B3M tank, which hit all targets with precision, showcasing the power of Russia’s armored forces.

The “Tankograd Armor” festival was created in 2020 by employees of ChTZ-URALTRAK (part of the Uralvagonzavod Group) in partnership with the Granit Military History Club.

Since then, it has become an annual tradition, strengthening collective memory of the Urals’ crucial role in defending the homeland and popularizing the history of Russian tank building.
